Walk Summary
We shall meet inside Himley Estate park car park.

We will then take a gradual ascent up through the Woods in Himley grounds before entering Baggeridge Country park which was once part of the Himley Estate and a colliery. We shall have a short climb up Lydiates Hill for views that on a clear day can include the Wrekin, Brown Clee and the Clent Hills... and further.

Next we shall descend walking through the park and then fields towards Wombourne crossing the A449 then on the outskirts of Wombourne we shall Climb upto Orton Hill walking down through Ladywell wood where there may be a spring time suprise...

Eventually we shall join an old railway track that is now a path and see an old platform. We shall walk alomg this before joining the Staffs / Worcestershire Canal where we shall remain until just past a village called Swindon. We shall then head to Hinksford Farm (with short stretch walking on the main road) and back toward Himley Estate.

Those wishing to can take a car journey to get Black Country Chips!!
Varied terrain including woodland, canal paths and hills. Walking boots recommended. Gaiters may also be advisable due to some parts of the walking having long grass etc.
