Start Point and Parking
Rhiwargor Falls car park. Head to Lake Vyrnwy. Upon reaching the lake from the Llanwddyn end by the dam travel to the far end of the lake on either side. The car park is signposted and is near to the turning for Bala.
1 hour 15 minutes from Shrewsbury
An option to visit the tea rooms by the lake after the walk
9:00am at "Dobbies" services (A5/A49 junction), south of Shrewsbury, in the Little Chef car park
Starting from the end of Lake Vyrnwy reservoir we will follow the road around the perimeter of the lake before ascending past the small cascades of Eunant Falls. The walk will then head across open access land to Moel Y Cerrig Duon before returning to the start point by following the stream which heads into Rhiwargor Falls to the start point. This will involve an easy scramble down near to the side of the waterfall.
Quiet lanes, rough exposed moorland which has the potential to be very boggy.
Around 450 metres of gradual ascent
Moel Y Cerrig Duon at 625 metres
Please note that this walk may be changed for an alternative route a couple of days before the walk as the route passes over numerous streams and through some bog. When recced the route was dry, but following heavy rain it is likely to be very wet underfoot
