Walk Summary
One of Snowdon's best kept secrets, this is a lesser used, but equally scenic and enjoyable, walk to escape the crowds to the summit of Snowdonia's highest mountain.

We’ll ascend up along the South Ridge and Llechog. We cross Bwlch Main ahead of the final ascent to the summit. The return is down along the Rhyd Ddu path.

There is a short stretch of scrambling and a ridge with steep drops on this walk. Walk for experienced country walkers with an above average fitness level.

Additional Info
This is an exposed mountain walk and therefore could be very cold and windy. Please wear strong walking boots, waterproofs and plenty of warm clothing. It could be boggy in places, so gaiters may be useful. Sun tan lotion is recommended if it could be sunny. Please bring plenty of food and drink.
