Start Point and Parking
Arenig Quarry carpark. From Bala take the A4212 going northwest towards Trawsfynydd. Past Llyn Celyn, to just before where the B4391 heads north to Ffestiniog, take a left turn onto a minor road, towards the village of Arenig. After about a mile the carpark is a large area of waste ground on the left.

Walk Summary
From the Arenig Quarry car park we walk along the road and then along a track, leaving the path to ascend Craig y Hyrddod to highest point of the day, Arenig Fawr. We then continue along the ridge and steadily descend to the saddle at Ceunant coch. We cross the very boggy valley and make a very steep asecent of Moel Llyfnant. We descend to Amnod-bwll and follow forest tracks to Amnod wen and back to the car park.
Moorland and mountainous, the vast majority of route is not on marked paths. Very boggy in places

Additional Info
This is an exposed mountain walk and therefore could be very cold and windy. Please wear strong walking boots and bring waterproofs and plenty of warm clothing. It is very boggy in places, so gaiters may be useful.
