Walk Summary
This is the second year of the SYR Annual Christmas Jumper walk.

Please come dressed in Christmas attire, xmas jumpers and xmas paraphernalia strongly encouraged think antlers, xmas pudding hats, flashing xmas lights etc.

We shall meet at 10.30 in the Dale End
carpark next to a play park. This is quite small so you may have to park at a bigger one further down and then come to the meet point buy be aware some have a time limit e.g. 3 hours.

We shall stop for a group photo infront of the newly renovated and revealed world famous Ironbridge. (This photo will be used for publicity and sent to Walk magazine).

We shall cross the Ironbridge turn left and walk along an old railway track. When we get to the Coalport bridge we shall cross over and most probably stop here for lunch by the river Severn.

Next we shall make an ascent up and walk behind Blists Hill museum. We shall then stop for a quick drink (group size and weather permitting) at a pub called All Nations. From here we shall then enter woodland and field terrain walking above the Ironbridge with possible views of the power station before entering a more residential area of Ironbridge giving you the chance to look at some old buildings such as the one named the 'Wedge of Cheese'.... gradually making our way down back into the town...

Then it will be time to name the best dressed and enjoy a few drinks in some of the pubs. :)

Some ascent, due to time of year mud is expected so sturdy walking boots advised.
