Walk Summary
A visit to the Ceiriog valley near Llangollen. The route will involve heading along a section of the disused Glyn Valley Tramway passing through an area which was formerly quarried before ascending steadily onto the Ceiriog trail above the valley with potential views towards the Dee valley and the nearby Berwyns along with the surrounding area, before returning to the start along a fairly level section of the Ceiriog trail and descending steeply to the valley floor.
A Mixture of rough tracks, fields, lanes and a short section along a quiet road
One climb onto the top of the valley which is not too strenuous and a second easier climb totalling about 370 metres of ascent.
Highest Point
Pen Y Gwely at 444 metres
