Other Details

This invigorating walk explores the seldom visited hillsides above Capel Curig. We ascend gradually up a secluded, yet stunning valley, with panoramic views including the Snowdon Horseshoe and Moel Siabod. We then descend to the dramatic Llyn Crafnant, before ascending again to enter the peaceful Gwydir Forest, passing by a small lake. From here, there are fabulous mountain views all the way back to the start.

A couple of short and at times fairly steep ascents/descents. A mix of rocky and grassy paths/bridleways, forest tracks and lanes. Likely to be quite boggy/muddy (gaiters advisable).

Sturdy footwear and warm/waterproof clothing is essential - it is exposed in places, and the ground rough along some sections.
