Climbing the Walls

Summary I have made a booking for the Action Walls at Climbing the Walls from 11 am – 12 noon. Kerry Shone is organising a meal in Shrewsbury afterwards.

In order to have the most time on the Action Walls, we need to arrive at 10.45 am at the latest. This means that we have time for a safety briefing before starting climbing at 11 am. Anyone who arrives late and misses the safety briefing will not be allowed to climb.

The Action Walls are suitable for anyone, both those with no climbing experience and those with lots. There are lots of different challenges for all abilities. Climbing the Walls advises that you wear something that allows for a lot of movement and you feel comfortable, general sports gear is great. Also, please tie long hair back, take off jewellery and wear well-fitting trainers. There are toilets and space to change if you need to. Bring your own climbing shoes if you have them, or you can climb in your trainers. Also bring water. There is a cafe if you don't want to climb.

The cost is £10 per person. Please pay £10 into the SYR account by Sunday 6th January 2018. If we do not receive you payment by this date I will not be able to book you a place and you will have to contact Climbing the Walls yourself to book a place.

Directions: Turn off the A5112 at the traffic lights as if going to Tescos and the Park and Ride carpark. At the roundabout (with Tescos on left) go straight on, past KFC on your right. Turn right in front of the self-storage place. There is plenty of parking.

Additional Info You will need to complete and sign an Action Walls Registration Form for Supervised Adults. It would speed things up if you could do this before the event - this can be done online at https://climbingthewalls.club/registration/. Everyone will have to fill one in before climbing, but it makes it quicker if you have already completed it. NOTE: Even if you completed a form last time we went, you will need to do a new form as the forms have changed recently.
